Driving home last night Audrey (age 3), while pointing to a woman shoveling snow away from her car that was parked on the street, said “What is that woman doing? That’s not safe.” I explained to her that she is shoveling her car out because when you park on the street and the snowplow drives by it creates a snow bank around your car.

There was a pause, then “SNOW BANK” followed by explosive, contagious laughter. Once we were able to compose ourselves, I asked her what was so funny. “A bank made of snow. That’s so silly.” (We recently took a trip to the bank to deposit the contents of her piggy bank.)
