“I am ready to learn about (the letter) X this week.”

My daughter said this to me yesterday morning and my thoughts keep going back to it. It was her tone, her confidence, her excitement when she said it. The words could have been “I am ready to go to Disney World this week” but it wasn’t, it was about learning. How do I respond when I know I will be learning something. Do I feel ready?

Do my students feel ready when we study something new? Do I give them the opportunity to be ready? Do they think and get excited about their learning for the next week on the weekend?

What makes you feel ready?
